Paul Tukey is an award-winning journalist, author, filmmaker, HGTV host, consultant and motivational public speaker who is internationally recognized as a pioneering leader in sustainable landscaping and natural lawn care. In August of 2017 he will be honored as the first-ever recipient of the Green Medal Award for Sustainability from the Garden Writers Association of America.
His books include the best-selling Organic Lawn Care Manual (Storey 2007) and Tag,Toss & Run: 40 Classic Lawn Games (Storey 2012). In 2010 his feature-length documentary film titled, “A Chemical Reaction,” profiling the lawn pesticide bans sweeping across Canada and the U.S., earned three EMMY nominations. His instructional video series titled “Making the Organic Lawn Care Transition” won the 2011 gold medal from the Garden Writers Association.
Now serving as the Chief Sustainability Officer for the Glenstone Museum (www.glenstone.org) in Potomac., Md., Paul is helping to create a “living classroom” on the all-organic 220-acre site that includes native meadows, restored streams and tributaries, forests and more than 7,000 newly planted native trees.
